Follow the Path to the Past… Experience an historic discovery and learn about 17th Century United Empire Loyalist and Pennsylvania Mennonite roots at the well-maintained Jordan Historical Museum. Enjoy hands-on displays of pioneer life, guided tours of historic buildings include the 1815 Fry House and the 1859 Stone School House complete with enactment of classes.

Recently linked to Jordan Village is an extension of the Twenty Valley Trail. Hikers can travel along the pond bank of Jordan Village, make their way to the stairway to the Jordan Historical Museum and through scenic natural settings to the Ball's Falls Heritage Conservation Area.

Accessible from Jordan Village by either a leisurely hike or a short trip by car, the Ball's Falls Heritage Conservation Area encompasses over 200 acres of scenic natural and built heritage, including two spectacular cataracts on the Niagara Escarpment and the traces of a mid 19th century industrial hamlet. One of the first community along the lower Twenty Mile Creek, a grist mill, lime kiln, a restored church, log cabin and a family home are some of the structures that are open for guided tours. (*Note: The church at Ball's Falls is St. George's Anglican Church, originally from Hannon, Ontario.)

In 1999 the Ministry of the Environment, Environment Canada and the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority entered into an agreement under which the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority will initiate and co-ordinate activities for the continued development and implementation of the Niagara River Remedial Action Plan (RAP). The Niagara River RAP "area of concern" includes the Welland River and all other inland tributaries that drain into the Niagara River.
