The Heritage Gift Shop on the
main street of Jordan Village, Ontario, has watched the village's
rebirth from the final days of Jordan Wines. Our first location
was the Vintage House, which now boasts guest rooms and a spa for
visitors to our neighbourhood.
From
the beginning, our purpose has been to raise funds for the Jordan
Historical Museum of The Twenty, which houses a collection reflecting
the early days of this Pennsylvania Deutsch Mennonite and Butler's
Rangers 'pensioners'.
This 100% volunteer-operated business
offers all manner of items to decorate your home and enhance your
entertaining. Giftware items include china, pottery, glassware,
candles, linens and decorative seasonal florals. The garden is not
forgotten either.
Unique to the village is our selection
of homemade preserves made by a team who playfully call themselves
"The Jammers". Using traditional recipes, The Jammers
provide preserves which fill the display and makes the customers
smile with memories of grandma's cupboard.
Then there is the overwhelming variety
of fudge made on the premises using real butter and many natural
flavourings like keylime and peanut butter. Specialty flavours are
made like cranberry nut for Christmas and pumpkin pie for fall.
Being volunteers, our pay is the smile
that pleased customers have when they leave our shop. Come and experience
the Heritage Gift Shop.
