The Jordan Historical Museum, overlooking the tops
of the trees in the valley below, offers a peaceful, verdant alternative.
The site features two historic buildings, an 1816 log house and
an 1859 stone school house, both fully restored. "The School
House is available for rentals for weddings, meetings, and all kinds
of get-togethers. Contact the museum for more information."
At the head of the laneway is the Heritage House,
where you'll go for the start of your tour in the summer. The Heritage
House features both regular and special exhibits, including a room
dedicated to the rare fraktur folk art collection. Also in this
building are the museum's reference library, archives, and staff
offices.
Bring a picnic, hike down the stairs along the Waterfront Trail
extension, wander the museum grounds, or come on in for a tour...
we're waiting to welcome you!
