Cave Spring Cellars has been producing exciting vartietal VQA wines from its vineyards along the benchlands of the Niagara Escarpment for over two decades. First planted back in 1970s by the Pennachetti family, Cave Spring Vineyard, located on the renowned Beamsville Bench, is the source of their exceptional Estate Bottled wines, many of which are available exclusively at the winery.
The winery is best known for its array of internationally acclaimed Rieslings, made in styles varying from dry to luscious dessert wines. Pioneers of this variety in Niagara, Cave Spring has long recognized that the climate and soil of the Niagara Escarpment is best suited to this noble grape. The winery is also well known for its elegant Chardonnays. Also made from this classic varietal is Cave Spring Brut, a sparkling wine that is quickly earning a reputation as one of the region’s best. Or, while visiting the winery tasting bar, sample some of Cave Spring’s other niche whites such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc and Gewürztraminer, as well as top Estate Bottled reds including Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc.
